LondonでBalenciaga 展示会

こんにちは♡

今回はバレンシアガの展示会に行って来ました！

バレンシアガ（BALENCIAGA）を作ったデザイナー

クリストバル・バレンシアガ(Cristobal Balenciaga)(1895-1972)は

20世紀の尊いファッションデザイナーの一人だと言われています。

服の特徴は、シンプルで、体に密着しないゆったりとした

彫刻のようなシルエット。

1950年代には「バレル・ルック」「チュニックドレス」「サック・ドレス」など

数々のスタイルを考案する天才的なデザイナーの一人です。

意外にも彼がスペインでドレスメイキングの仕事を始めて

彼此100年経っているのには驚きでした！

自分のデザインがハイストリートに

陳列されてるのを知ればだいぶ嬉しいだろうなあ。( ・∇・)

ということで、今回の展示会は1950-1960年代のバレンシアガコレクション。

大胆なシルエットのオンパレード！

The envelope dress
 In this dress Balenciaga's experimentation with form and fabric leads to a complete abstraction of the body. Made the year before he retired, this collection reasserted his relevance to 1960s fashion. Although a hit with the press, few sold because of its impracticality. One wearer found it almost impossible to go to the bathroom. Balenciaga liked the design and included it in the first retrospective of his work in 1970.

Invisible engineering 
Some of Balenciaga's most innovative designs were also the simplest. Here a T-shaped kimono cut is manipulated into dramatic folds by an invisible internal ribbon, which runs the length of the inside sleeves and holds the gathers in place. Vogue described it as having the 'sculptured, direct beauty of a Roman toga'.

下は中国をイメージした服。バレンシアガの特徴は日本の着物や中国のテキスタイルを

取り入れたクリエイティヴなデザインができることです。
